Basketball Homecoming Week!!

Family and Consumer Science students have been actively engaged in training and earning certifications in a nationally recognized food safety program.
ServSafe Food Handler is a comprehensive training program that equips food handlers with essential knowledge to prevent foodborne illnesses. Administered by the National Restaurant Association, this program focuses on critical aspects of food safety, such as personal hygiene, time and temperature control, cross-contamination and cleaning and sanitizing.
Additionally, students have the opportunity to complete the ServSafe Allergens course, an online program designed to teach food preparation staff how to identify and manage food allergies effectively. This training also emphasizes proper responses to food allergen-related concerns and is administered by the National Restaurant Association.
By earning these certifications, students gain valuable skills that prepare them for careers in the food service industry, while promoting safety and awareness in food handling practices.
