Mr. Luke Lovins
Superintendent of Rose Bud Public Schools
Meet the Superintendent
Mr. Luke Lovins, Superintendent of Rose Bud Public Schools, was born in Blytheville, Arkansas. He is one of many educators in his family. His Father is a minister, his Mother is a retired teacher, and both of his brothers are High School Teachers. He received a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree from Arkansas State University in 2005. He has also received a Masters and Specialist degree in Educational Leadership at Arkansas State University.
Mr. Lovins has been in public education for 14 years. He has served as a teacher and coach. Mr. Lovins also has experience as an Assistant Principal at the Secondary Level and was the High School Principal for 2 years at Paragould High School. Mr. Lovins has served in 3 school districts in his career.
"I have only been a part of a few districts during my career but I've been fortunate. All three districts have been full of wonderful teachers, hard-working administrators, and surrounded by a nurturing community. Most importantly, I've gotten to work with some really great kids."
Mr. Lovins started out as a Social Studies/PE Teacher and Football, Basketball, and Baseball Coach in the Marked Tree School District. He then served as a teacher/coach in the Paragould School District before moving into an administration position in that district.
Mr. Lovins was named Superintendent of Rose Bud Public Schools in the Spring of 2018, where he oversees a student population of approximately 800 students and 120 employees. Mr. Lovins is a member of the AAEA, AREA, and AACIA. He is also a Board Member of the Arkansas Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and serves on the Curriculum Committee during Legislative Session.
"Having a solid curriculum and providing engaging instruction is vital to student success. It's been a wonderful journey throughout my career to be welcomed into so many organizations that share the same passion for student success that I do."
Mr. Lovins has been married for 8 years. He and his wife Amanda have 2 sons. Henry is 4 years old and Eli is 2 years old.
"I've been blessed way more than I deserve. My wife has been so supportive of me along the way and those two boys are keeping me young. Somehow, every day is better than the one before. It's a great feeling to know that each day you wake up is the best day of your life!"
